Payment And Insurance

There is no National Health for pets and the Clinic relies on fee income to invest in the best possible standard of facilities, equipment and staff for our clients and patients.

We ask that all fees are paid at the time of treatment as this helps to keep the level of costs as low as possible for all our clients. We will advise you as best as we can, recommending essential and preventative treatment at all times.

We accept most credit cards and we can give estimates on request, although it is not always easy to know beforehand how long a procedure will last 

The Practice Manager will be pleased to discuss likely costs at any time - please don't hesitate to ask.

If the fees are not paid at the time of the treatment, more than two weeks delay will incur additional charges

INSURANCE

We strogly avise you to take out health insurance for your pets in order to be able to afford the best treatment without having to worry about the costs. There are many companies to choose from. We recommend you check not only the price but also the details of what the company covers before signing up.

We do direct claims to the Pet Insurance Companies provided the client pays the excess and provides a signed claim form at the time of discharge of the patient.

If there is a problem with the insurance, the client is responsible to pay his/her bill.

 

The premiums, terms and excesses may vary between companies. Yearly policies will cover for one problem only for a year and then they will apply an exclusion, so it is better to get a lifelong policy but they are more expensive.

It is also important to check what is the highest amount the insurance will cover for each condition.

Naturally the higher the limit, the more expensive the insurance premium will be. Whatever the policy, insuring your pet, gives you peace of mind, covering for those unexpected big bills.

Nowdays there are Veterinary Specialists in every discipline: opthalmology, dermatology, neurology, cardiology etc and their prices are very expensive.

We will refer your pet to a specialist if we feel that he/she needs specialist care
